KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 (Bernama) -- Synergy ESCO Malaysia Sdn Bhd announced it has saved over 530 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, marking a notable step towards Malaysia's sustainability goals and supporting the nation's Zero Carbon 2050 vision.
In a statement today, the company said its Green Initiative Program has attracted 180 clients and deployed more than 600,000 Ultra High Energy Efficiency LED lights across various sectors.
The total energy saved is enough to power 1.5 million homes annually.
“The program has also contributed to preventing 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to saving 10 million trees over the next decade.
“With energy savings of 72 per cent and a lifespan of 34 years under daily use, these LED lights are revolutionising the market while significantly cutting down on electronic waste,” it added.
Synergy’s parent company, Unity Group Holdings International Ltd chairman and chief executive officer Mansfield Wong said by implementing cutting-edge solutions and fostering collaboration across sectors, it is being proven that sustainability and innovation go hand in hand
Wong said as part of its continued commitment to Malaysia, Unity Group is pursuing a secondary listing on Bursa Malaysia. Wong believes this move will strengthen its connection with local heritage and create greater value for the people of Malaysia.
