LABUAN, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Communications deputy secretary-general (Strategic Communications and Creative Industries), Nik Kamaruzaman Nik Husin, led a working visit to the Kompleks Kementerian Komunikasi Malaysia in Labuan today.

Accompanied by a team from the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), the visit highlighted the significance of the RM9.5 million complex for the ministry’s agencies.

Situated on a 0.4789-hectare site at Jalan Tanjung Taras, near the Labuan town centre, the complex was completed in December 2019, with construction starting on July 11, 2016.

It serves as the operational and management hub for Bernama, the Information Department, and Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), housing administrative offices and supporting public information dissemination.

During the visit, Nik Kamaruzaman, and Bernama chief executive officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, toured the Bernama Labuan bureau office and the Information Department.

Nik Kamaruzaman expressed satisfaction with the building’s structure and functionality, commending its facilities for meeting the agencies' operational needs.

He added that he would bring up the matter of the complex’s official inauguration to the Minister of Communications.
