PRUBSN MAKES IT TO MBOR WITH MOST NUMBER OF AGENTS COMPLETING PITO EXAM IN A DAY

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) -- Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN) has earned a place in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) by having the most number of agents completing the Module 2 Professionalism of Insurance & Takaful Operators Agents (PITO) Programme examination in a day, involving 4,422 Takaful consultants.

PruBSN chief executive officer Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail said the achievement reflected the professionalism of PruBSN takaful consultants in the fast-growing industry, especially in healthcare and financial protection.

"PruBSN broke the national record as the takaful operator with the most number of consultants completing the PITO examination in a day. The examination is one of the professional certification requirements of Bank Negara Malaysia and it must be taken by all insurance and takaful consultants in the country.

"The examination, held on Nov 15, is not an easy one as it requires a deep understanding from every angle regarding financial, insurance and takaful operations," he said at the PITO M2 MBOR certificate presentation ceremony and memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing between Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad and the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) here today.

He said the achievement of PruBSN consultants in obtaining PITO certification was in line with the current trend in the dynamic Takaful industry to equip their consultants with strategic approaches that are customer-orientated to help manage the financial and health needs of the people more effectively.

Wan Saifulrizal said that besides professional certificates, PruBSN, a prominent Takaful family operator in the country which currently has over 16,000 consultants, is committed to empowering its consultants with appropriate levels of expertise and professionalism.

"This year, the company has organised over 20 learning and development programmes, involving all our Takaful consultants nationwide across various levels of expertise, enabling them to offer more in-depth and solid financial advice to our customers while retaining their trust and satisfaction.

"Next year, we plan to collaborate with FPAM to provide professional certificate programmes in line with our commitment towards human capital development," he said.

Meanwhile, the ceremony also saw the inking of the MoU between PruBSN and FPAM, which was represented by the association's chief executive officer Alex Lee.

The MoU signing is aimed at getting exclusive support to sit for the Module 2 PITO examination as well as access to the prestigious Islamic Financial Planning (IFP) internal programme, starting next year.

"PruBSN remains committed to empowering the ecosystem for its agency strength in promoting takaful products by equipping its consultants with sound knowledge and expertise. We will empower them to be successful as Takaful Financial Planners or Takaful Gig Consultants.
