29/11/2025 07:39 PM

SEREMBAN, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) captured a panther after the 50-kilogramme animal entered a trap set in Kampung Sungai Lapok, Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah, early this morning.

Its director, Faizal Izham Pikri, said that at about 9 pm yesterday, the department received information that a panther had finally entered the trap, which had been placed there for more than two weeks.

“Monitoring at the location found that the adult male black panther was in good health and uninjured,” he said in a statement today.

He said that the panther was subsequently released back into its natural habitat, in a forest reserve far from human settlements.
