PUTRAJAYA, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- Women must continue to believe in their potential and remain resilient in facing life’s challenges, particularly when balancing their roles as wives, mothers and career professionals, said Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The chairperson of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Amal Silaturahim Isteri-Isteri Harapan Malaysia (Kasih Malaysia) said every life test is part of Allah’s decree, and women should remain patient and rely on Him as they navigate those challenges.
“Women are given health, education and positions. But who in this life does not face tests? Everyone faces trials.
“Allah will not test us beyond what we can bear. Allah knows His servants better than they know themselves,” she said in her speech at the Usrah Mega Muslimah (UMMu) 2025 event here today.
Dr Wan Azizah, who is also patron of the Association of Wives and Women Members of the Civil Service (PUSPANITA), expressed appreciation for the dedication of civil servants, particularly women, in driving the government’s ongoing reform agenda to enhance service delivery.
“Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, strengthen empathy and uphold good governance. With the right commitment and integrity, our aspiration to elevate the standing of the public service can be realised,” she said.
Held under the theme Akhirnya Sempurna, the UMMu 2025 programme aims to promote work-life balance among women staff of religious agencies while reinforcing spiritual strength through Quranic and worship-based approaches.
The programme also highlights the Quran as spiritual therapy and offers guidance on prioritising life from psychological, medical and religious perspectives.
Also present were Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee, Religious Services Officers Association president and JAKIM deputy director-general (Operations) Datuk Mohd Ajib Ismail, and PUSPANITA president Puan Sri Maheran Jamil.
