KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The unsubsidised retail prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol nationwide have been set at RM3.25 per litre and RM2.65 per litre, respectively, for the period of November 13 to 19.
The Ministry of Finance (MOF) stated in a press release that the retail prices of the fuel are set in line with the increase in global oil prices.
According to the MOF, the retail price of the subsidised RON95 petrol under BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) remains at RM1.99 per litre.
Additionally, the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia is set at RM3.07 per litre, while in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan, it remains at RM2.15 per litre for the same period.
“The price determination is made based on the weekly price of petroleum products according to the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM),” it said.
The MOF informed that the government will continue to review and adjust the retail prices of RON97, RON95, and diesel based on current global oil market developments, but priority remains on price stability.
Furthermore, the government will continue to monitor the global crude oil price trend and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are continuously protected.
