FELCRA RECEIVED RM28.1 MLN IN DIVIDENDS FROM 13 SUBSIDIARIES, ASSOCIATE COMPANIES - AHMAD ZAHID

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- Felcra Bhd (Felcra) recorded a significant achievement by receiving dividends totaling RM28.1 million from 13 subsidiaries and associate companies, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said the achievement reflects the group's strong financial performance and the effectiveness of management strategies implemented at all levels.

“It also reflects Felcra's increasingly solid financial position in its efforts to empower the rural development agenda, drive the economic growth of participants, and ensure that sustainable value continues to be created for all stakeholders.

“I also express my confidence in the Felcra Bhd Group, especially its subsidiaries, to continue building even greater success in the future,” he said in a media statement today.

The statement was issued by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) after the Felcra Bhd Subsidiary and Associate Company Dividend Presentation Ceremony held this morning.

At the ceremony, Ahmad Zahid also witnessed the handover of a replica profit cheque, starting with Felcra Bhd Chief Executive Officer Datuk Idris Lasim to Felcra Bhd Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakob, symbolising the overall success of the group.

Also taking place was the presentation of replica cheques from 13 Felcra subsidiaries and associate companies, signifying the positive performance and solid contribution of all these entities to the overall financial strength of Felcra.

Ahmad Zahid said he has requested Felcra to submit its Strategic Business Plan 2026–2036 in the first quarter of 2026 to ensure long-term growth continuity, strengthen competitiveness, and catalyse Felcra's corporate direction for the coming decade.

The Deputy Prime Minister who was optimistic with the strong spirit of teamwork and clear strategic direction, said the corporate company, which is placed under the Minister of Finance Incorporated, will continue to be a source of pride for the rural community.

"Felcra will become an institution that not only fulfills its social mandate with full integrity but also becomes a driver of competitive and high-impact corporate prosperity," he said.
