KANGAR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- The Perlis government has extended its deepest appreciation to the Federal Government for its firm commitment to implementing various development projects in the state.
Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli said the continued support not only strengthens basic infrastructure but also opens up new economic growth opportunities and enhances the overall well-being of the people.
He said the projects to be implemented in Perlis, announced during the tabling of Budget 2026 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Oct 10, include upgrading Jalan Kampung Batu Dua to Beseri and the upgrading of the Chuping flood retention pond.
Other listed projects are the installation of scanning machines at Perlis Inland Port (PIP), the acquisition of a building to serve as quarters for Tuanku Fauziah Hospital staff, and the full replacement construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan Chuping.
“The state government and the administrative machinery led by State Secretary Datuk Rahimi Ismail will give their full commitment to the implementation of these projects to ensure that every plan and initiative materialises into tangible development for the progress of Perlis,” he said.
Mohd Shukri said this while tabling the state’s Budget 2026 themed ‘Perlisku Bestari Rakyat Sejahtera’ during the State Legislative Assembly sitting at Kompleks Seri Putra here today.
