KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 (Bernama) --Civil servants had the chance to explore the Malaysian Civil Service Housing (PPAM) scheme at the Prime Minister's Department booth during the Two Years of MADANI Government Programme (2TM) and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here.

PPAM (Technical and Operations) deputy director Zulkifli Jahaya, said response from civil servants had been overwhelming since the booth opened last Friday.

Over the past three days, visitors have sought information and clarification about PPAM, including the application process for PPAM units.

"We are not only promoting PPAM units in Kuala Lumpur for civil servants working in the federal capital but also showcasing units nationwide to provide broader opportunities for home ownership," he said.

Zulkifli encouraged interested civil servants to register and apply through www.ppam.gov.my.

Meanwhile, Home  Ministry assistant secretary Nurul Syahidah Shaari, commended the government’s initiative to provide quality housing for civil servants at below-market prices in strategic locations. She emphasised the importance of continuing such programmes.

Currently seeking her first home, Nurul expressed her gratitude for the efforts made to promote and explain the PPAM application process at the booth.

Another visitor, Road Transport Department (JPJ) customer service officer, Mohd Fikri Mat Noh, praised the government’s efforts to offer affordable housing, particularly for those looking to purchase homes in the federal capital.

He added that PPAM provides civil servants with the opportunity to own comfortable, quality homes without being burdened by exorbitant costs.
