HOSPITAL SERI BOTANI CONTRIBUTES THREE BLOOD PRESSURE EQUIPMENT TO MOSQUE, SURAU 

IPOH, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Hospital Seri Botani has continued its commitment to community well-being by implementing a Blood Pressure Monitoring Infak (Charity) Programme as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in conjunction with the Ramadan month.

Its chief executive officer, Dr Eric Yeoh Kok Ming, said they have contributed three units of the equipment to Masjid Raudhatul Mukminin, Surau Diri Jumaat Al-Ansar, Seri Palma and Surau Ta'adud Jumaat Ulul Albab, Seri Margosa.

“Every time Ramadan arrives, we will organise various programmes, but this is the first time we are contributing healthcare equipment to the local community in Bandar Seri Botani.

“This initiative is not merely a donation of healthcare equipment, but a strategic effort to cultivate the practice of self-screening and enhance health literacy within the community,” he said after the programme organised by Hospital Seri Botani at Masjid Raudhatul Mukminin in Kampung Kepayang here today

Earlier, Hospital Seri Botani assistant director of Nursing Nur Izzati Megat Abdul Samad demonstrated how to use the machine to the guests, including mosque congregants. 

Meanwhile, Masjid Raudhatul Mukminin deputy chairman Shamsul Jamil Shahrum, 55, expressed his appreciation for the contribution and encouraged the surrounding community, including mosque congregants, to make full use of the equipment.

He also hoped that more private sector entities would collaborate with mosques or surau to strengthen the agenda of community health, in line with the spirit of Ramadan that emphasises compassion and togetherness.
