KOTA KINABALU, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- The number of flood evacuees in Telupid and Paitan districts increased to 413 people from 124 families as of 8 pm today, compared to 397 people from 119 families as of 8 this morning,
The Sabah Disaster Management Committee Secretariat in a statement said that five temporary relief centres (PPS) were opened in Telupid, housing 350 people from 102 families.
According to the committee, a total of 63 people from 22 families took shelter in two PPS in Paitan.
"The evacuation trend of victims in Telupid and Paitan remains at 8 tonight," said the statement.
Telupid and Paitan are located in the interior of Sabah, over 200 kilometres (km) and over 230 km east of Kota Kinabalu respectively.
