SATUN (Thailand), Feb 28 (Bernama) – The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, has urged Muslims to strengthen unity, support one another, and practise tolerance as one ummah to prevent division.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra emphasised that minor differences should not lead to disputes and called for prioritising brotherhood and compassion.
"I urge all of us to make the most of this Ramadan. Increase our acts of worship, strengthen our relationships, and spread love within the community, especially among us in Perlis, Malaysia, and Satun Province, Thailand," he said.
The Raja Muda made the remarks while meeting residents of Kampung Chalong during the Ziarah Mahabbah Ihyak Ramadan programme organised by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) at Chalong Mosque today.
Also present were the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, and their daughter, Hajah Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail.
Perlis State Secretary Datuk Rahimi Ismail and MAIPs chief executive officer Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor also participated in the programme.
During the gathering, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra, who is also MAIPs president, presented an Ihyak Masjid contribution of RM5,000 along with dates to the Chalong Mosque.
Earlier, the Raja Muda donated RM5,000 and dates to three other mosques in Satun Province, namely the Pulau Panjang Mosque, Puju Mosque, and Tanjung Gabus Mosque.
As part of the programme, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra also launched the promotion of the Perlis Beef Kurma dish at a resort and promoted Visit Perlis Year 2024-2025.
