JOHOR BAHRU, March 19 (Bernama) -- The Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN) is offering support to the victim slapped by an elderly man at Angsana Mall on Sunday.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said that the JPNIN director had met with Elijah Ling Zhao Zhong, 22, and was informed that he required privacy.
"I request the cooperation of all parties, including elected representatives, the media, and non-governmental organisations, to give him space," he said in a post on his official Facebook page today.
He also urged all Malaysians to prioritise and observe mutual respect in their daily lives.
