KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Bernama) -- National diver Enrique Maccartney Harold narrowly missed out on a place in the men’s 10m individual final at the 2025 Diving World Cup qualifier in Guadalajara, Mexico, early this morning.
He posted a total score of 372.05 points to finish 13th in the preliminary round, just 7.30 points behind Italy’s Riccardo Giovannini, who claimed the final qualifying spot in 12th with 379.35 points.
Mexico’s Randal Willars Valdez topped the leaderboard with an impressive 518.45 points, followed by China’s Cheng Zilong (474.15) and Zhu Zifeng (462.25) in second and third spots, respectively.
Only the top 12 divers advanced to the final, scheduled for this Monday.
National diving queen Datuk Pandelela Rinong also missed out on a place in the women’s 10m platform final yesterday, finishing 13th in the qualifying round.
The 2025 Diving World Cup series continues in Windsor, Canada, from April 10–13, before heading to Beijing, China, from May 2–4.
