KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 (Bernama) – The public registration for country’s premier distance running event, the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2025 to be held Oct 4 and 5 here, is officially sold out in just under four hours.
According to KLSCM project director, Rainer Biemans, they are truly humbled by the overwhelming response from the running community and greatly appreciate their enthusiasm and support for the event organised by Dirigo Events since the public registration opened this morning at 10 am.
“KLSCM has always been a platform for runners of all levels to raise their individual bars and we wish all participants the best of luck for this year’s race,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Dirigo Events in the same statement informed that those who did not manage to secure a slot are advised to watch out for upcoming promotions offering entries.
This year’s KLSCM will feature five categories namely 42 kilometre (km), 21 km, 10km, 5 km and kids dash.
Previously, a priority registration window was opened from April 17 to 21 for those who have competed in at least eight previous editions, as well as faster runners who met the required finishing times in 2023 or 2024.
The marathon will kick off within the Kuala Lumpur city centre (an exact location yet to be announced) and will conclude at the historical Stadium Merdeka, here.
