KUALA NERUS, April 30 (Bernama) -- Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE), to enhance academic and international research collaboration.
UMT vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohd Zamri Ibrahim said the partnership demonstrates the university's ongoing commitment to fostering excellence in marine science, environmental sustainability, and sustainable global development.
He said that, through the MoU, UMT will expand its collaboration in student exchange, joint research, and academic development, which will have a positive impact on the global community.
“A total of 11 UMT students have applied to participate in the Global UGRAD Exchange Programme, organised by MACEE, reflecting the students' interest and readiness to explore international learning opportunities.
“This partnership has also shown positive results, with an American student joining the Fulbright programme, which offers annual grants to Malaysian or American students to pursue Master's or Doctoral studies at UMT,” he said in a statement, today.
