KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, on the occasion of the ruler's 82nd birthday today.
“I pray to Allah SWT that His Royal Highness, the Raja Perempuan of Perlis and the entire royal family are always blessed with His grace and guidance, and continue to enjoy good health and lasting well-being. Daulat Tuanku,” the Prime Minister said in a Facebook post.
At the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with the celebration, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin conferred state awards and honours on 25 recipients -- a symbolic number chosen to mark the silver jubilee of his reign as the Raja of Perlis, which will be commemorated for a year from April 17, 2025 to April 16, 2026.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also extended his congratulations to the Raja of Perlis in a Facebook post.
Ahmad Zahid prayed that Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin remains under Allah’s grace and protection, and enjoys continued well-being, longevity and good health.
