LONDON, May 18 (Bernama-QNA) -- Crystal Palace has made history by winning the FA Cup for the first time, defeating Manchester City 1-0 in the final held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The victory came courtesy of Eberechi Eze, who netted the decisive goal in the 16th minute, securing Palace's long-awaited triumph.
Manchester City had a chance to equalise in the 36th minute, but Egyptian international Omar Marmoush missed a crucial penalty.
This marks the club's first-ever FA Cup title in its 119-year history, having previously finished as runners-up in 1990 and 2016.
With this victory, Crystal Palace has secured a place in the UEFA Europa League for the first time, marking a new chapter in the club's journey.
