27/11/2025 04:12 PM

SHAH ALAM, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has not yet applied for an Interpol red notice to locate the founder of the eHati marital motivation programme and her husband, who have fled overseas.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said efforts to locate them are ongoing through cooperation with PDRM's strategic international partners. He said the couple is believed to be in Southeast Asia.

"We know which country they went to and that they are still there,” he told a press conference here today.

Previously, Shazeli was reported as saying that the two individuals had fled abroad on Oct 13, one day before charges were brought against them in court.

Yesterday, the Syariah High Court here issued arrest warrants for the eHati programme founder and her counsellor after they failed to appear in court to face charges under the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment 1995.
