KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 (Bernama) -- GXBank Bhd and Grab Malaysia have shortlisted eight startup companies to participate in a six-month-long TeXnovasi Accelerator Programme, aimed at driving innovation within Malaysia’s fintech ecosystem.

The programme, supported by Cradle Fund and 1337 Ventures, aims to strengthen local fintech startups through mentorship and access to resources, positioning Malaysia as a leading player in the digital finance revolution.

In a statement today, GXBank announced that the eight shortlisted startups are Cashku, Dui-it, Enprivacy, FinDoctor.my, Finory.tech, Kapitani, PulseLink, and Swipey.

“Each startup focuses on different aspects of financial inclusion such as protection and detection of digital fraud and scams, and helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) improve financial access and operations through a sustainable social protection/assistance structure that encourages MSMEs to thrive,” the bank said.

GXBank’s chief technology officer Fadrizul Hasani said these startups were selected based on their innovative potential to address three crucial areas in Malaysia’s financial landscape: accessibility, security, and user experience.

“Our nation’s startup ecosystem is brimming with potential, especially in the fintech space. However, many often face obstacles when trying to scale such as regulations, balancing the complexity of data, tech and compliance, and also lack of funding,” he said.

Echoing Fadrizul, 1337 Ventures chief executive officer Bikesh Lakhmichand said that through mentoring sessions, the firm aims to equip startups with the critical skills and insights needed to scale their businesses within Malaysia’s financial sector.

“Exclusive workshops will cover key areas such as market entry, innovation, and scaling, providing startups with the essential tools for growth.

“They will also gain access to a vast network of public and private investors, corporate partners, and experienced professionals, fostering opportunities for accelerated success,” he said.

GXBank stated that the eight startups would benefit from personalised mentorship and one-on-one guidance from subject matter experts at Grab Malaysia and GXBank.
