Amata Corp Expects Industrial Land Sales To Rise 15 Pct In 2025

BANGKOK, March 25 (Bernama) -- Amata Corporation PCL, Thailand's leading industrial estate developer, expects a 15 per cent increase in industrial land sales in 2025, driven by its new project in Laos and sustained investor demand in Thailand and Vietnam.

Its acting chief marketing officer, Osamu Sudo, said the group anticipates total sales of about 560 hectares in 2025, up from 482 hectares last year.

Sudo attributed the growth to consistent demand for strategically located industrial estate land in Thailand and Vietnam, particularly from companies relocating due to the ongoing trade war, and the commencement of land sales in the group’s new project in Laos.

"So far this year, we have received a significant number of enquiries from customers, indicating continued strong demand for industrial land in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand and Vietnam," he said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Sudo added that Amata would closely monitor economic conditions, given the impact of changing United States policies, particularly its focus on specific industrial sectors, which could influence relocation trends.

Meanwhile, Amata Corporation's chief financial officer, Dendao Komolmas, said the company plans to invest over 7 billion baht (approximately US$210 million) in Thailand this year to develop additional land and build utilities in its industrial estates.

Dendao emphasised that the investment excludes spending on green energy initiatives.

She highlighted Amata's robust financial position, which includes a cash flow of about 5 billion baht at the end of 2024 and over 20 billion baht in pending revenue from land transfers.

"This year, 2025, is likely to be challenging due to the slow recovery of the Thai economy, which is hindered by high household debt levels and uncertainties surrounding US trade policies and tariffs," she added.

Amata Corporation, which was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in 1997, specialises in industrial real estate development and related businesses in Thailand and other countries.
