KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- Duck Creek Technologies has announced a new software as a service (SaaS) core insurance delivery technology partnership with RAA, South Australia’s largest personal lines insurer.
Duck Creek Technologies Managing Director APAC, Christian Erickson, described the partnership as a significant milestone, noting that RAA sought more than just policyholder protection but also enhanced value for its members.
“RAA has a big vision and high expectations and will be pushing the boundaries of innovation and possibilities. We are looking forward to the challenge of supporting and enabling this,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, RAA Chief Technology Officer, James Galdes expressed excitement over the partnership, noting that Duck Creek’s future-proof technology will unlock efficiencies and enhance both staff and member experiences.
He added that RAA’s decision to partner with Duck Creek followed a thorough market evaluation process with Gartner and Deloitte, where Duck Creek’s evergreen architecture, local support, and pre-built connectors stood out as key advantages.
Duck Creek’s OnDemand platform will replace RAA’s on-premises legacy technology for its personal motor and home insurance products, incorporating solutions such as Policy, Rating, Billing, Claims, and Clarity (data and insights).
Duck Creek’s open and flexible platform architecture, along with its line-of-business kits and easy integrations, will help RAA improve speed to market for new products and provide a more seamless digital experience for its over 825,000 members.
In addition to allowing RAA to deliver its members more innovative products and more value, RAA will also receive significant operational benefits and increased efficiencies from the new solutions.
This announcement follows RAA’s recent 20-year strategic partnership with Allianz Australia, under which RAA will oversee the marketing and distribution of insurance products, while Allianz manages product, pricing, claims, and underwriting.
