RGV, Neotek Inovasi Global In Strategic Partnership To Train More Youth In O&G

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- Raziqin Global Ventures (RGV) Sdn Bhd, a local workforce solutions provider in the oil and gas (O&G) sector, today announced a strategic partnership with Indonesia's  Neotek Inovasi Global (NIG) to strengthen training and human capital development in the industry.

Its managing director, Mohd Noorazrul Kamarozaman, said the collaboration aims to train more local youth, especially in the field of hydraulic workover unit (HWU) which is still not widely explored in Malaysia.

“We found that in Malaysia, training providers in this field are very limited. Therefore, we need to bring in trainers from outside to train local workers. We want to produce more young people who are experts in this field because it is a very specialised market.

“In the HWU sector, knowledge is still low among the local workforce. This poses a problem due to the lack of specialist manpower to meet the needs of related projects,” he told Bernama.

Meanwhile, RGV head of operations Saifful Salleh said the collaboration with NIG enables high-quality training to be provided to participants through experienced trainers from the company which has been operating internationally for almost two decades.

“NIG has trained many workers around the world and we want to apply that experience to Malaysia. Our goal is to become a major player in this market. In fact, we have discussed with PETRONAS (Petroliam Nasional Bhd) and it welcomes this collaboration,” he said.

Meanwhile, NIG business development manager and shareholder Mohamed K. Bassyouni said the training offered is not only technical but also emphasises safety aspects which are very critical in the O&G industry.

“No one is allowed to work on an oil site without the right training and certification. We have various accreditation from international bodies which allow us to train, test, and verify someone’s qualifications to work in this field.

“This is our core business, and through the strategic partnership with RGV, we want to make a positive impact on human resource development in the Malaysian O&G industry,” he added.
