KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Astro strengthens its position this year with the launch of the BIZone Rewards campaign, an initiative specially designed to help food and beverage (F&B) businesses become more appealing, thereby increasing customer traffic, enhancing their image, and boosting their brand value.
Astro's Head of Enterprise and Broadband Business Tan Sian Tuang said the rewards campaign is open to all F&B and commercial outlets that register, renew, or upgrade their BIZone TV pack during the campaign period, which runs from April 7 until October 17 this year.
"A total of 200 F&B outlets will be selected as winners to receive part of the RM3 million marketing support fund, with winners chosen monthly through a draw conducted by Astro representatives," he said in a statement.
In 2024, Astro launched BIZone, a simplified package from AstroBiz for F&B outlets, which is aimed at encouraging the growth of these outlets within the small and medium enterprise (SME) industry, supported by a specially designed marketing fund worth RM3 million.
BIZone recorded substantial growth, experiencing a 34 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in new customers, significantly outpacing the initial forecast of about 5.0 per cent y-o-y base growth.
With a potential market size of 14,000 establishments, BIZone is steadily gaining traction, and this growth in customer acquisition further enhances its value as a solution for F&B and commercial outlets across Malaysia.
Elaborating further on BIZone Rewards, Tan said that the selected outlets will have the opportunity to receive marketing support, such as sports watch party featuring an all-expense-paid live sports screening for customers, as well as meet-and-greet sessions with the appearance of celebrities or popular influencers.
“Besides that, in terms of food promotion, the campaign also includes exclusive content created by well-known food influencers and social media personalities, along with Astro radio advertisements for selected customer-nominated outlets, targeting millions of listeners to build trust across diverse audience segments.
“Also offered are television ads on Astro’s platform for selected outlets, with special coverage via ‘Buletin Awani’ or ‘Borak SeeNi’ programme, further boosting viewership reach across all levels of society,” he said.
He said the rewards campaign offers strategic marketing support aimed at attracting more customers, increasing customer retention, and driving measurable business growth.
Additionally, Tan said that with RM3 million in dedicated marketing support and only minimal adjustments, BIZone has the potential to help commercial establishments optimise their potential through the power of smart entertainment.
