KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- The second edition of the energy forum Energy Asia 2025 will focus on geopolitical issues and macro landscapes surrounding the energy industry, according to Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas).

Petronas’s group strategic relations and communications senior general manager (Energy Asia and strategy, planning and governance) Datin Arni Laily Anwaruddin said there would also be a lot of discussions surrounding technology and financing for the industry.

“I think where we come really strongly around Energy Asia is the support we need. It is not just about Petronas or policymakers, it is about policymakers, academicians and students all in the room to see how we can partner better to deliver.

“We need everyone and all of these topics are central to making an impactful delivery of Energy Asia and energy transition for Asia,” she told reporters after Petronas’s Lunch Escape: Road to Energy Asia event today.

The second edition of Energy Asia 2025 is organised by Petronas in collaboration with CERAWeek by S&P Global. The first edition was held in 2023.

Scheduled to take place from June 16-18 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Energy Asia serves as a catalyst for advancing the region’s net-zero ambitions by bringing together policymakers, industry captains and energy professionals through actionable solutions for a just and responsible energy transition.

Themed “Delivering Asia’s Energy Transition”, conversations would focus on collaborative efforts across Asian nations to enhance energy security, promote renewable energy adoption, deploy decarbonisation solutions, facilitate technology transfer and catalyse economic growth and socio-economic development.
