Datavault AI, Korea Aerospace University Launch Pact To Revolutionise Aviation Credentialing

02/10/2025 12:25 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- Datavault AI Inc, a company specialising in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data visualisation, valuation and monetisation, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Korea Aerospace University (KAU).

In a statement, Datavault AI said the signing ceremony, held recently at KAU in Goyang, South Korea, aims to advance education, research, and global collaboration in aerospace credentialing.

Datavault AI chief executive officer, Nathaniel Bradley said the agreement would enable trusted and scalable credentialing for pilots amid rising global demand for commercial and private aviation.

Meanwhile, KAU president, Hee-Young Hurr said the collaboration would prepare students for a data-driven aerospace future, combining quantum computing and digital twin technology to pioneer secure training methods.

Under the agreement, Datavault AI will deploy its VerifyU platform for Korea’s first digital credentialing, which includes real-time pilot identity verification and simulation machine aptitude assessments across various aircraft types. The move comes amid rising global aviation demands, with private aviation growing 3.8 per cent year-over-year in 2025.

Both parties will also conduct joint research on quantum supercomputing and digital twin technology to optimise aerospace designs, improve aircraft management and enhance human-machine interfaces.

In addition, academic events will be hosted to encourage collaboration with aerospace leaders, leveraging AI to refine predictive modelling and secure verification.

Goyang-based KAU, founded in 1952, is recognised for its expertise in aerospace engineering and innovation and has played a key role in developing South Korea’s aerospace industry.

The partnership builds on Datavault AI’s earlier momentum, including a US$150 million investment from Scilex to develop a supercomputer aimed at strengthening its independent data exchanges, real-world assets and digital twin markets, with support from IBM’s WatsonX platform. (US$1=RM4.20)

Datavault AI’s patented platform, integrated with WatsonX, enables secure real-time data exchanges and digital twins that replicate physical assets, supporting both defence simulations and civilian aerospace applications.
