KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia is collaborating with Turner & Townsend for the second consecutive year to bring timely and critical insights to the industry through the International Construction Transformation Conference (ICTC).
The conference is held in conjunction with International Construction Week (ICW) 2025.
CIDB Malaysia chief executive Zainora Zainal said industry players are encouraged to attend the session to help them navigate current challenges and leverage future opportunities in the construction industry, both locally and across the region.
Trends, opportunities, and challenges in Malaysia’s construction market will be presented by Turner & Townsend’s country director, Leo Leow, while Cities & Places Asia director, U-Kidd Chong, will present ASEAN construction trends, risks, and opportunities.
Data Centre Portfolio Lead for Asia, Carlos Garcia Rodriguez, will present trends, challenges, and opportunities relating to the data centre boom.
Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries.
Beyond that, ICTC 2025 will also feature 10 international speakers covering innovation, technology, and sustainability.
This year’s edition will put the spotlight on three focus areas — Regenerative Development, Resilient Infrastructure, and Digital Transformation.
“Through these themes, ICTC 2025 aims to drive inclusive growth, foster stronger ASEAN collaboration, and position Malaysia as a leader in sustainable and innovative construction,” she said in a statement.
Besides offering networking opportunities, participants will also have the chance to earn professional development credits accredited by bodies such as CIDB, the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM), the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT), and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).
ICTC 2025 is part of ICW & BuildXpo 2025, themed “Constructing the Future of ASEAN”, taking place from Oct 28–30, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Hosted by the Ministry of Works Malaysia and CIDB Malaysia since 1998, ICW 2025 marks the 27th edition of the event, reaffirming its status as one of the region’s leading construction industry platforms.
BuildXpo, the Malaysia International Building and Construction Industry Showcase, is the official trade showcase of ICW and is jointly organised by CIDB Malaysia and Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
