KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s property sector saw its finest recognised at the 12th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia, which featured 73 categories celebrating outstanding achievements in luxury residences, affordable housing, and innovative commercial developments across the nation.
The awards combined insights from an independent judging panel, comprehensive market data, and public opinion, reflecting excellence across the full spectrum of Malaysian real estate.
Among the top winners, JLand Group was named Best Developer (Malaysia) and Best Developer (Southern Malaysia), CPI Land received Best Developer (Central Malaysia), and Interhill Group won Best Developer (East Malaysia). Berinda Group was recognised as Best Sustainable Developer.
In a statement today, PropertyGuru International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd said a milestone highlight of this year’s gala was the introduction of the Consumer Demand Awards, which honoured developments most sought after by Malaysians on leading property platforms, PropertyGuru.com.my and iProperty.com.my.
It said the inaugural winners were City Square Office Tower by Berinda Group, Leisure Farm by Mulpha International, Mutiara Central Cheras by Mutiara Johan Group, R&F Princess Cove by R&F Development, and The Exchange 106 by Mulia Property Development.
Datuk Sr Mohd Salem Kailany, group chief executive officer of KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, received the Real Estate Personality of the Year award from PropertyGuru’s editorial team for his leadership of one of Malaysia’s largest real estate investment trusts (REITs) and oversight of landmark assets including the Petronas Twin Towers.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Jerry Kwan Aik Khai, founder and managing director of JRK Holdings Bhd, was honoured with the Rising Star award for inspiring the next generation of developers and transforming his construction firm into a leading high-rise property developer.
PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events general manager Jules Kay said the awards reflected developers’ willingness to innovate and harness data to give consumers a greater voice in the selection process.
“Winners exemplify a broad spectrum of value, from the highest tiers of luxury to the most affordable spaces,” he said.
Meanwhile, Datuk Ar Ezumi Harzani Ismail, chairperson of the independent judging panel, said the inclusion of consumer voices alongside expert judges ensured that this year’s winners were truly well-rounded, highlighting advancements in development, design, and sustainability.
The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series will culminate at the grand final in Bangkok on Dec 12, 2025, where 23 Malaysian winners will compete for Best in Asia titles against entries from 14 other markets.
