NILAI, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- National motorcycle maker Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), the local assembler of Kawasaki motorcycles, has teamed up with with Sendayan Motor Sdn Bhd for the opening of Malaysia’s 10th Kawasaki All Star 4S (Sales, Spare Parts, Showroom, Services) Centre here today.
Modenas chief executive officer Roslan Roskan said that since its establishment, Modenas has carried the mission of building Malaysia’s motorcycle industry by providing reliable, affordable and innovative mobility solutions for millions.
“Our partnership with Kawasaki has added a new dimension, bringing advanced technologies, performance machines and a global brand spirit to local riders. With Nilai joining the Kawasaki All Star family, we have now achieved 10 strategic openings across Malaysia.
“Each outlet is more than a sales point -- it is a centre where riders connect with the brand, where after-sales builds confidence and Kawasaki lifestyle thrives.
“This expansion proves that the demand for Kawasaki is growing stronger and our responsibility is to meet that demand with excellence,” he said in his speech at the Kawasaki Nilai grand opening.
The event was officiated by state executive councillor for local government development, housing and transport J. Arul Kumar.
Also present were Modenas chief marketing officer Hitoshi Inoue and Sendayan Motor Sdn Bhd director David Goh Lim Jia.
Meanwhile, Roslan said that the expansion of the Kawasaki All Star network nationwide demonstrates the growing demand for the Kawasaki brand, reflecting the strong confidence of Malaysian riders.
“What makes today even more meaningful is that this new outlet is managed by Sendayan Motor Sdn Bhd, a company deeply rooted in Negeri Sembilan since 1976. We are not only creating business opportunities but also strengthening the local economy, creating jobs, and serving riders,” he said.
Meanwhile, Arul Kumar said Nilai’s strategic location, which is close to the Klang Valley, Melaka, and Johor, provides a significant advantage for the new outlet, positioning it as a potential catalyst for the growth of the automotive industry in the region.
Modenas is 70 per cent owned by DRB-Hicom and 30 per cent by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Japan.
