Solarvest Shares Climb On Jv With Brookfield

15/10/2025 11:48 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- Solarvest Holdings Bhd was among the most active counters on Bursa Malaysia in early trade today after announcing a joint investment partnership with global asset manager Brookfield.

At 10.12 am, Solarvest rose three sen to RM3.14 on 515,000 shares traded.

In a note, Maybank Investment Bank Bhd said the newly formalised partnership “combines the best of both worlds,” leveraging Solarvest’s expertise in local renewable energy (RE) projects and Brookfield’s extensive global corporate network.

“With Brookfield’s ongoing regional engagements with tech giants such as Microsoft, Google and Amazon, we see significant potential for Solarvest to capitalise on these connections to develop RE assets, with the initial project expected to be finalised in the financial year 2026,” the bank said.

The investment bank maintained its ‘Buy’ rating on Solarvest, keeping its 12-month target price at RM3.60, implying a 16 per cent upside from its last traded price of RM3.11.
