BANGKOK, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- MR. D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) is aiming to raise up to 5.6 billion baht (US$173 million) through an initial public offering (IPO) ahead of its listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Nov 5, 2025.
In a statement, MR. D.I.Y. Thailand said it plans to invest 4.5 billion baht to build a large automated distribution centre to enhance logistics and supply chain efficiency. This will enable the company to support over 1,500 stores after 2027, while also improving cost efficiency.
MR. D.I.Y. also plans to expand nationwide by opening at least 500 new stores within three years (2025-2027).
The IPO is priced between 8.30 baht and 8.60 baht per share (100 baht=RM13.01), and retail investors will be able to subscribe on Oct 20-22.
Chief executive officer Andy Chin said Thailand’s home improvement retail industry is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.4 per cent, from a market value of 182.6 billion baht in 2024 to 237.8 billion baht in 2029.
According to him, chain retailers such as MR. D.I.Y. are expanding even faster than the overall market, with a CAGR of 15.3 per cent.
“Currently, we are the market leader in our sector, with a 9 per cent market share, reflecting our strong foundation.
“At the same time, this single-digit market share shows that we are still at an early stage of unlocking the full potential of the home improvement market in Thailand,” he told reporters at the company’s prospectus launch today.
Chin said the company recorded total revenue of 16.2 billion baht in 2024, representing a strong CAGR of 28 per cent, while solid operational efficiency helped it achieve a net profit of 1.7 billion baht, growing at a CAGR of 30 per cent over the same period.
“This fundraising will support our plans to expand stores and develop an automated distribution system and network to reach 1,500 branches nationwide by 2027,” he said.
According to the statement, MR. D.I.Y. Thailand is the largest and fastest-growing home improvement and lifestyle retailer in the country, serving nearly 100 million transactions in 2024.
The company opened its first store in 2016 and now has 1,000 stores across 77 provinces in Thailand, supported by over 10,000 employees as of June 30, 2025.
Apart from Malaysia and Thailand, MR. D.I.Y. also operates in Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Turkiye, Bangladesh, Spain, Poland and South Africa.
