Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Mohd Khairul Fidzal Abdul Razak said the agency is hosting the NBiOSHOWCASE at IDECS25 to highlight Sarawak’s role as a regional hub for sustainable innovation and green technology.
“We are inspired by Sarawak's strong commitment to becoming a global leader in the green economy, while leveraging digital technology to accelerate its economic transformation.
“With Bioeconomy Corp’s expertise in bio-based commercialisation and sustainable ecosystem development, we are confident to support and realise Sarawak’s aspirations to a higher level,” he said in a statement today.
NBiOSHOWCASE, the premier summit for the biotechnology and bio-based industry in Malaysia, organised by the Bioeconomy Corp, is held for the first time in Kuching to showcase Sarawak’s unique bio-based initiatives that drive sustainable growth, open up new market opportunities, and empower local communities.
To be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, IDECS25 is expected to attract over 10,000 participants, comprising industry players, researchers, government agencies, and the general public.
The two-day bioeconomy showcase will feature a memorandum of understanding exchange session to strengthen collaboration in areas such as sustainability, talent development, entrepreneurship, and research commercialisation.
