KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Bloomberg New Economy and Bloomberg Businessweek have unveiled the 2025 New Economy Catalysts—a powerhouse cohort of innovators tackling humanity’s greatest challenges with bold ideas and real-world impact.

Now in its fifth year, the Catalyst programme honours visionaries from around the globe whose work spans healthcare, clean energy, sustainable finance, climate resilience, and technological innovation. These emerging leaders will converge at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore from Nov 19 to 21.

“The Bloomberg New Economy Catalysts embody the ingenuity and determination needed to tackle today’s toughest global challenges.

“Their ideas and impact—from new ways to deliver healthcare and clean energy to advancing equitable finance and climate resilience—are exactly what the world needs as we build a more sustainable future,” said Bloomberg New Economy Editorial Director, Erik Schatzker in a statement.

This year’s Catalysts include pioneers such as Prashant Warier of Qure.ai, whose artificial intelligence (AI) tools are reshaping early diagnosis and access to healthcare; Durreen Shahnaz of IIX, architect of the world’s first social stock exchange; and Samir Ibrahim of SunCulture, a leader in solar-powered agriculture for smallholder farmers.

Other honourees are innovating in rare-earth-free motors, satellite-based climate insurance, and AI-driven biotech, representing a truly global mix—from Nigeria to Luxembourg and Kenya to the United States.

For these changemakers, Catalyst recognition offers more than prestige—it is a springboard into a global network of decision-makers reimagining the future of the economy and the planet.

Bloomberg’s continued spotlight on cross-sector collaboration signals a deepening commitment to solutions that are not only innovative, but inclusive, sustainable, and scalable.
