KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- 99 Speed Mart Retail Holdings Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (3Q 2025) rose by 49.9 per cent to RM160.65 million from RM107.16 million in 3Q 2024.
Revenue jumped by 19.1 per cent to RM3.04 billion from RM2.55 billion previously, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
“The growth was mainly attributable to the continued expansion of the outlet network and steady consumer spending on daily essentials, supported by various government social assistance initiatives.
“The group achieved a net increase of 269 new outlets year-on-year, bringing the total number of outlets to 2,966 as of Sept 30, 2025,” it said.
99 Speed Mart said that in line with the outlet growth, total sales transactions increased by 18.3 per cent to 141.8 million, while the average basket size remained stable at RM21.40 in 3Q 2025.
Furthermore, the bulk sales e-commerce platform contributed RM15.1 million in incremental revenue compared with 3Q 2024.
The higher sales volume resulted in a 21.7 per cent increase in gross profit to RM328.3 million, accompanied by a modest 0.2 per cent improvement in gross profit margin to 10.8 per cent in 3Q 2025.
For the cumulative nine months, 99 Speed Mart recorded a higher net profit of RM457.04 million compared with RM365.85 million a year ago, while revenue increased to RM8.36 billion from RM7.40 billion previously.
The board has declared a dividend of 2.25 sen per ordinary share, comprising a second interim dividend of 2.0 sen and a special interim dividend of 0.25 sen, amounting to approximately RM189 million.
The entitlement date is Dec 2, 2025 and payment will be made on Dec 12, 2025.
Founder and chief executive officer Lee Thiam Wah said the strategic plan to diversify into the overseas market materialised with the opening of its first outlet in Fuzhou, China on Aug 31, 2025.
“Moving forward, we remain focused on improving accessibility and are on track to achieve our annual target of 250 outlets and surpass 3,000 outlets by the end of 2025,” he added.
