KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- HelloBoss, Asia’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered recruitment platform developed by Tokyo-based startup NGA, has raised its Series A round led by international media group Bertelsmann, its first strategic investment in Japan.
In a statement, HelloBoss said BAI Capital also joined the round, further boosting confidence in the platform’s global ambitions.
The funding will accelerate HelloBoss’s expansion and support the rollout of its flagship AI Agent, a patented tool that automates hiring for employers and jobseekers.

Launched in early 2023, HelloBoss has recorded a tenfold revenue surge despite a 20-person team, attracting global brands including Marriott and Dior. The latest infusion follows a pre-A round backed by global investors such as Singapore-based Yunqi Partners.
Positioned as a global AI hiring infrastructure, HelloBoss is strengthening its product, engineering and leadership bench—supported by partners with extensive global networks, including its strategic alliance with the United States human resources (HR) tech giant Deel. Japan, one of the world’s most challenging HR tech markets, served as the platform’s proving ground.
HelloBoss’s new AI Agent delivers end-to-end automation—from instant job matching and auto-generated resumes for jobseekers to AI-crafted job postings, shortlist recommendations and multi-channel communication tools for employers.
Built on proprietary, patented technology, the AI Agent supports multilingual and cross-border hiring across web and mobile, enabling talent to discover roles in Japan and worldwide.
