Abaxx Exchange, Stellar Complete Connectivity, Expanding Access To Commodity Futures Benchmarks

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Abaxx Technologies Inc (Abaxx), a financial software and market infrastructure company, and Stellar Trading Systems Ltd (Stellar) announced the completion of full connectivity between Stellar’s suite of trading platforms and the Abaxx Exchange.

According to a statement, Stellar is now the latest trading technology provider offering access to Abaxx Exchange, linking Abaxx’s growing suite of commodity futures contracts with Stellar’s low-latency execution solutions.

Abaxx Exchange Chief of Markets, Shanmei Lim said the connection of Stellar’s global client base to Abaxx’s new commodity futures benchmarks broadens market access and strengthens the commercial ecosystem forming around Abaxx’s contract portfolio.

Meanwhile, Stellar Chief Executive Office, Steve Thomas said the integration brings Stellar’s high-performance trading environment—used by institutions, brokers and proprietary firms demanding speed and precision—to Abaxx markets through infrastructure connected to more than 60 global venues.

Stellar’s established connectivity to major gold futures markets and non-deliverable forward gold liquidity aligns directly with Abaxx’s precious metals suite, including Singapore’s only physically deliverable, US dollar-denominated gold futures contract.

In addition, Stellar’s established infrastructure for trading battery materials also complements Abaxx’s expanding portfolio of contracts across the sector.

Trading firms already active in these markets through Stellar can now extend their activity to Abaxx’s futures benchmarks via a connected trading environment.

Abaxx is the majority shareholder of Abaxx Singapore Pte Ltd, the owner of Abaxx Commodity Exchange and Clearinghouse and producer of the SmarterMarkets Podcast.
