KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s premier women-focused leadership and economic empowerment summit, WE2025 Future in Motion, held from Nov 25-27, recorded an estimated RM109 million in potential trade and investment leads, surpassing its initial RM100 million target.
In a statement today, Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which co-organised WE2025 with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, said the figure excludes additional potential sales and trade leads from the WE2025 Trade Expo and satellite events, which saw strong participation throughout the summit.
Qube Integrated said more than 200 business engagements were generated across sectors, including digital information, communication and technology, green technology, renewable energy, food and beverage, health and wellness, and professional services.
It said participating companies represented Malaysia, Comoros, Senegal, China, Singapore, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Canada.
Qube Integrated executive chairman and co-organising chair Richard Teo said the company is humbled by the tremendous reception that WE2025 received over these three days.
“The announcements and business opportunities forged have laid an important foundation for the continued prominence of women in trade, innovation and leadership.
“This is amplified further by the strong insights exchanged during the final day’s satellite events,” he said.
The company added that day three of WE2025 featured a series of satellite events and regional engagements focused on innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and cooperation.
These included the Artificial Intelligence (AI) MasterClass: Integrating AI, Emotional Intelligence and International Women’s Leadership, and Women Leading Platforms of Change: From Healthcare to Global Growth.
Highlights also included Belt and Road Initiative: Opportunities for Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises; Sign of Flavour: Coffee Tasting and Sign Language Experience; and the 1st ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations Board Meeting for 2025.
