KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- Koperasi Permodalan Felda Malaysia Bhd (KPF) has paid a total of RM1.21 billion to its members for share withdrawal applications and annual dividends during the period from 2020 to Nov 30, 2025.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that the total amount of share withdrawal applications received from members during that period was RM909.85 million, involving 30,343 members.
He said that applications that have been processed and paid amounted to RM547.16 million, involving 20,143 members.
“As for the remaining RM362.69 million involving 10,220 members for applications from 2024 to Nov 30, 2025, payments are currently being made in stages on a rotational basis, subject to the current cash flow position.
“Priority is given to critical and urgent cases such as hajj/umrah/religious purposes, medical, property matters, education, deceased members, court cases, and other urgent needs,” he said in a written reply published on the Parliament website today.
He was responding on behalf of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to a question from Kamal Ashaari (PN–Kuala Krau) regarding the government’s action to ensure that KPF settles outstanding share sale payments that have been overdue for nearly two years, which has affected the welfare of members including senior citizens and Felda settlers.
Ahmad Zahid said that KPF had paid annual dividends totalling RM659.7 million at rates of between five per cent and seven per cent to members during the same period.
Meanwhile, he said that an Investment Asset Rationalisation Plan is being implemented to meet members’ share withdrawal claims and to restructure investment assets for sustainable long-term income.
He said that part of the rationalisation plan was successfully finalised in 2025, generating income of RM239 million.
“The revenue was used to pay 2024 dividends amounting to RM129 million involving more than 250,000 members, and another portion amounting to RM82 million was used for share withdrawal payments to members.
“The remaining part of the rationalisation plan is currently being implemented, namely the disposal of part of plantation and property assets,” he said.
