KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- Sorento Capital Bhd has proposed to transfer its listing status to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd from the ACE Market.
The bathroom and kitchen sanitary ware company said the transfer is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026 (3Q 2026).
“The proposed transfer reflects the group’s financial resilience and ability to meet the profit track record criteria for a transfer to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. The board believes that the proposed transfer will elevate the company’s credibility, prestige, and market standing,” it said in a stock exchange filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Sorento said the proposed transfer is expected to accord the company with greater visibility and recognition among a wider pool of investors, particularly institutional investors, and better reflect the Group’s current scale of operations. “This will in turn enhance the attractiveness and marketability of Sorento Capital shares, and further reinforce stakeholder confidence,” said the group.
It added that the proposed transfer will not have any effect on the issued share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of Sorento Capital, as well as the net assets, gearing, earnings, and earnings per share of the group.
Alliance Islamic Bank Bhd has been appointed as the principal adviser for the proposed transfer.
