SHAH ALAM, Feb 5 (Bernama) -- The body of a man who was reported missing when his car plunghed into a ditch in Kampung Sungai Tengi, Tanjong Karang near here early this morning has been found after more than eight hours.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a call about the incident at about 5.56am this morning before mobilising 13 officers and personnel to the scene.
He said the 32-year-old victim was missing when the car was successfully winched up from a 3.6m ditch at 8.55 am this morning.
He said the victim was found at about 3pm by the Water Rescue Team (PPDA) unit in a pile of grass at a distance of 100 metres from the accident site.
"The victim was brought up and handed over to the police for further action," he said in a statement here today adding that the body was later taken to the Tanjong Karang Hospital.
