KOTA BHARU, Feb 7 (Bernama) -- Two people were killed, and two others were critically injured in a three-vehicle collision at Sungai Sam, Jalan Kuala Krai-Gua Musang, this afternoon.
Kuala Krai Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Razani Mamat said the accident involved a Perodua Axia, Honda City and a five-tonne lorry.
Razani said a man and a woman who were travelling in the Perodua Axia car were killed, and two women passengers were badly hurt.
“Meanwhile, a woman driving the Honda City car and the lorry driver escaped unhurt,” he said when contacted today.
He said nine firefighters rushed to the location, which was 53 kilometres away, after receiving a distress call at 4.50 pm and arrived at 5.26 pm to extricate the trapped victims.
Razani said the injured were sent to Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital, and the bodies were handed over to the police for further action.
