IPOH, April 17 (Bernama) -- A 57-year-old man died after slipping into a well while trying to collect water in an incident at Kampung Nyior, Kampar, today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they were alerted to the incident at 7.52 am.
“Upon arrival at the scene, firemen found that the man had fallen into a well about three metres deep.
“Rescue personnel used a rope system (1:2) to raise the victim to the surface. However, he was pronounced dead by Health Ministry personnel on duty,” he said in a statement.
