JOHOR BAHRU, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Road users are advised to use alternative routes during the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2025 cycling championship race in Johor this Saturday.
Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief ACP M. Kumarasan said that road closures will be implemented from 12 pm (noon) until 6:30 pm in the areas around Jalan Raya Tanjung Kupang, Gelang Patah, and Iskandar Puteri, in conjunction with Stage 7 of the LTdL 2025.
He said that the race route map and road diversions have been attached for public reference.
"Among the alternative roads that can be used are the Forest City road – Tanjung Pelepas Highway – Johor Bahru / Kuala Lumpur City Centre, for those coming from the direction of the Malaysian Marine Department Southern Region, or Persiaran Golf 5 road.
"The route Persiaran Medini 3 – Lebuh Kota Iskandar – exit to Jalan Ismail Sultan can also be used for those coming from the direction of Medini, Ramada by Wyndham Meridin Johor Bahru Hotel, or from Sunway Big Box Retail Park," he said in a statement today.
He stressed that road users must adhere to the instructions of traffic police officers and the diversions implemented, and always comply with existing laws.
He added that strict action will be taken against any party that violates road regulations or attempts to provoke.
The LTdL 2025, which is the 29th edition, is organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the National Sports Council (NSC) and runs from September 28 to October 5.
