KUANTAN, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Five roads in Kuala Lipis, Lipis, will be closed for three days from Friday (Oct 10) in conjunction with the Pahang state-level 2025 National Sports Day (HSN 2025) celebration.
Lipis police chief Supt Ismail Man said the affected routes will be Jalan Lipis-Kechau at the traffic light junction in front of Lipis Hospital; the Tenaga Nasional Berhad intersection; the intersection to the Lipis Hospital Forensic Unit; the Roundabout in front of the Lipis Police Headquarters; and the Jalan Pusat Perniagaan Bukit Residen Roundabout.
He added that the road closure will start at 6.15 am on Friday until the HSN 2025 programme ends on Oct 12, to allow for smooth traffic flow in conjunction with the sports events that will be held at Dewan Residen, Dataran Orang Kaya Haji and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Clifford.
"Road users are advised to plan their journey and park their vehicles at proper places to avoid obstructing traffic movement,” he said in a statement today.
Ismail also advised motorists to use alternative roads, namely Jalan Al-Sultan Abdullah to Bandar Lama and Bandar Baru Kuala Lipis.
Those who wish to head to Dataran Orang Kaya Haji to attend the HSN 2025 programme can park their vehicles at the parking lots at Pusat Perniagaan Bukit Residen, Pusat Perniagaan Makmur, Central Point, Lipis Public Park, Bandar Lama Kuala Lipis, as well as around the Lipis Plaza Hotel and Jalan Bukit Residen.
