KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- A man was killed and 18 others injured when the express bus they were travelling in lost control and crashed into a signpost at KM 293.4 of the North-South Expressway, near Bangi, Selangor, early this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said they received an emergency call at 2.57 am regarding the incident.
“The deceased, a 59-year-old male passenger, was found trapped and was confirmed dead by medical staff. The injured passengers received treatment at the scene,“ he said in a statement today.
Ahmad Mukhlis added that the operation involved 18 members from the Bangi, Seri Kembangan, and KLIA Fire Stations, including the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit.
