He said the state police have prepared 1,280 officers and personnel who can be deployed at any time to respond to emergencies.

“In addition to this manpower, additional resources from the Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA) can also be mobilised, involving 201 officers and personnel.

“This includes 94 members of the General Operations Force (PGA), six from the Air Operations Force (PGU), 34 from the Federal Reserve Unit 2 Johor Bahru and 67 from the Marine Police Region 2, who will support rescue operations and public safety management,” he told a press conference after the Johor Police Contingent monthly assembly here today.

“All these assets will be used to support rescue operations, evacuations, patrols in affected areas, security monitoring, traffic control duties and the management of relief centres in high-risk locations.

“In addition, the state police have also established strategic cooperation with various agencies, including the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Civil Defence Force (APM), Social Welfare Department (JKM) and local authorities to ensure more effective and comprehensive operational coordination,” he said.

He advised the public to constantly monitor weather developments, comply with the authorities' instructions and practice safety measures, especially those in areas identified as potentially prone to flooding.
