KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) is committed to supporting government aspirations through the Santuni MADANI: Satu Pemimpin, Satu Kampung programme, as part of its efforts to enhance village potential and community capabilities through direct monitoring and engagement.
TH group managing director and chief executive officer Syed Hamadah Syed Othman said that Kampung Dato’ Sri Amar Diraja in Muar, Johor, has been selected as its Kampung Angkat MADANI.
He said TH would collaborate with the village committee and local authorities to develop suitable programmes and identify local issues to improve the comfort, facilities, and living standards of the residents there.
“Alhamdulillah, as a start, TH volunteers along with villagers have cleaned the community hall and Ar-Raudah Mosque to provide greater comfort for residents to carry out ongoing spiritual and physical activities,” he said in a statement today.
An official ceremony and presentation of contributions took place in the village, officiated by Syed Hamadah, accompanied by the management team and volunteers from TH.
Additionally, several interesting activities were held during the ceremony, including a mobile TH service counter and free health screenings provided by the Muar Health Clinic specifically for the villagers.
“TH also contributed RM40,000 to Pusat Jagaan Bakti Murni and Ar-Raudah Mosque to help cover management costs and necessary facility improvements,” said Syed Hamadah.
He added that the Santuni MADANI TH 2024 programme, inspired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is an excellent platform for TH to engage and strengthen ties with village communities, especially those in need.
“It is also in line with one of the pillars of Malaysia MADANI, which promotes the spirit of 'Ihsan' within society.
“Insya-Allah, TH will continue this noble effort so that more residents of Kampung Dato’ Sri Amar Diraja Muar can be reached and assisted,” he said.
