KOTA BHARU, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- The Kelantan government will ensure that the repair work involving the damaged road in Gua Musang is carried out as soon as possible so that the traffic can flow smoothly again.
Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said the initial work is currently being carried out by the Gua Musang Land and District Office.
"This morning, I inspected the collapsed road in Kampung Jerek, Gua Musang caused by the recent heavy rain. I fully understand the difficulties faced by the local residents.
"This work involves the construction of a temporary diversion road, before follow-up action can be carried out by the Public Works Department (JKR)," he said in a statement on his official Facebook page today.
He also asked for the repair work to be speeded up for the well-being of the people of Kelantan.
Earlier on Dec 1, Bernama reported that road users from Kampung Jerek, Gua Musang were facing safety risk when the 110-metre-long main road was found to be cracked and subsiding.
