SIBU, 11 Jan (Bernama) -- Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) remains steadfast as an inclusive party, prioritising racial harmony and ensuring that no one is left behind in the development process.
PBB secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the party continued to serve as a solid foundation for political and social stability in Sarawak, despite encountering various challenges and changes in the political climate.
He said that as a party that placed great importance on unity and harmony, PBB must not become complacent with its achievements.
“We must always look ahead and be ready to face increasingly complex and challenging future challenges,” he said at the PBB Central Zone branch delegates’ meeting at the Sibu Indoor Stadium today.
Nanta added that the younger generation must play a crucial role in driving change and ensuring the continued success and survival of the PBB struggle.
“The young generation are the future leaders, and their presence in PBB brings renewed hope to both the party and Sarawak as a whole.
“They have not only inherited the legacy of the struggle but also emerged as leaders in formulating a new vision and strategy to advance Sarawak,” he said.
Nanta, who is also the Works Minister, stressed that the young generation in PBB should become agents of change, foster innovation, and bring fresh ideas to keep Sarawak on the right path in economic, social, and political growth.
He said that through entrepreneurship, education, and technology programmes, the young generation in the party played a crucial role in ensuring Sarawak remained globally relevant and internationally competitive.
Nanta also urged PBB members to give their full support and commitment to strengthening Abang Johari’s leadership.
“Our party is the key driver behind the success of all policies and strategies outlined by the state government. We must all unite to ensure that every goal of the Sarawak Maju Makmur 2030 development plan is achieved,” he said.
