KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended assistance to a senior citizen struggling to make ends meet.
The aid was delivered by the Prime Minister’s political secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, to 69-year-old V. Ramaiyeyah at his home in Taman Impianku, Sungai Lembing, Kuantan, Pahang recently.
“Despite his age, he continues to persevere through life’s challenges.
“In his humble home, he greeted us with a hopeful smile. Hearing his story was truly moving -- a single father who has sacrificed everything to sustain his livelihood,” Ahmad Farhan said in a Facebook post, which was also shared by the Prime Minister today.
On behalf of Anwar, Ahmad Farhan presented financial aid and a food basket to help ease the burden of the elderly man.
“As he received the aid, his expression conveyed gratitude that words could hardly capture. I pray that Uncle Ramaiyeyah is blessed with strength and good health as he continues his journey through life,” he added.
